In 2000, Jo graduated with a 2.1 Hons Degree in Marketing & HRM plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (DipM) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Jo worked within several marketing and advertising agencies before a career change took her into Fitness and Public Health.

Jo gained a wide variety of qualifications in health, fitness, sport and weight management before undertaking her First Aid Trainer, Food Compliance Trainer, First Aid for Mental Health and Safeguarding Instructor with NUCO Training and also achieved her Level 3 Education and Training Certification.

Jo has over 15 years experience of health and fitness training including instructing, coaching and training. She worked within Local Authority Public Health project management for 12 years before moving into quality assurance and research at Public Health England then NHS England and Improvement.

 

Jo regularly trains the workforce and volunteers in numerous courses including first aid, safeguarding, weight management/nutrition and sport. She currently teaches on behalf of several first aid and training companies across the UK on a freelance basis. She has been lucky enough to work on several projects including the BHF CPR (Call Push Rescue) training programme in partnership with Taylor Wimpey.

 

Jo is a UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) practitioner and is a member of the Association of Healthcare Trainers.  Jo is also a Mum of two mini medics!!
